Celebrity Cruises Honored with Prestigious 2020 Wine Spectator Awards

MIAMI – July 3, 2020 – The awards continue to pour in for Celebrity Cruises’ distinctive onboard wine program.

The 2020 Wine Spectator Restaurant Awards has bestowed twelve awards to Celebrity, including two distinguished “Best of Awards of Excellence” for its unique wine lists on restaurants throughout its fleet. Since Wine Spectator began including cruise line restaurants in their annual “Awards of Excellence” in 2013, Celebrity has dominated the category and now, by far, holds more awards from the world’s leading authority on wine than any other cruise line. It is also the only cruise line ever awarded Wine Spectator’s “Best of Award of Excellence,” and is among a small, elite group of 82 establishments in the world that have received awards for the past eight consecutive years. Wine Spectator annually recognizes restaurant wine lists which feature a well-chosen assortment of quality producers along with a thematic match to the menu in both price and style. 

All of the main dining room restaurants on ships in both Celebrity’s Millennium Series and Solstice Series received this year’s “Award of Excellence.” Fine Cut, the modern, sophisticated steakhouse on the line’s newest ship, Celebrity Apex, became Celebrity’s first specialty restaurant to win an “Award of Excellence.”  

In addition, two of the main dining room restaurants on ships from Celebrity’s newest, groundbreaking Edge Series – Celebrity Apex and Celebrity Edge – received the coveted “Best of Award of Excellence.” Celebrity Edge has now received this honor for two consecutive years.
