Modern luxury line Celebrity Cruises last night received four gifts at the top of its holiday wish list. In the prestigious annual Travel Weekly 2012 Readers’ Choice Awards, Celebrity was named:
“Best Premium Cruise Line” for the second consecutive year;
“Best Premium Ship” for the second consecutive year, honoring the flagship of Celebrity’s widely heralded Solstice Class fleet, Celebrity Solstice;
“Best Rookie Ship,” Celebrity Silhouette, which entered service in 2011, expanding on the appeal of Celebrity’s signature Solstice Class Lawn Club by adding ‘The Lawn Club Grill,’ ‘The Porch,’ ‘The Art Studio,’ and ‘The Alcoves’;
“Best Cruise Line in Europe” for the third consecutive year – a fitting prelude to Celebrity’s European season in 2013, when the brand will offer its most widely varied array of modern luxury cruises and cruisetours in Europe on one of the newest fleets, with the highest percentage of verandas of any line sailing in the region. The six Celebrity ships in Europe will take guests to 25 countries from seven departure ports, visiting a total of 88 destinations in Europe alone, six representing Celebrity ‘

Travel Weekly’s 10th annual awards gala was held Thursday at the Plaza Hotel in New York. Winners were named in 59 categories across several sectors of the travel and hospitality business.
